Artists Statement
Art has always saved me. The point of departure for my work has been (and remains) my own experience, my own life - and by putting this material into a broader context - I confront stigma and injustice. Always choosing media that can be multiplied and widely disseminated, I am currently investigating how trauma--when examined through the creative process--can become the fuel of liberation.
